Wales vs Scotland kicks off the Six Nations this weekend…
With the Six Nations getting underway this weekend, the excitement may be overcoming us. Across the next seven weekends, the best teams in the Northern Hemisphere will battle it out to be crowned kings of Europe.
It all starts in Cardiff on Saturday afternoon, as the Welsh host Scotland. Gregor Townsend’s side are being tipped for a big tournament, after beating Ireland and Scotland last year. Given the fact that they’ve overcome Australia both at home and away in the interim, there is real momentum behind the Scots.
However, playing at the Principality Stadium is always going to be a big ask for visiting teams, and nothing will come easy for Scotland.
Both Townsend and Warren Gatland will be hammering the message home to their players to maintain their discipline. Aside from the obvious advantages of keeping your penalty count down, there is form to suggest that cards could be brandished this weekend.
Referee Pascal Gauzere who will take charge of the clash has overseen seven test games in the last tow years. In that time, he has produced 18 yellow cards, and four reds.
18 yellow, 4 red cards in Pascal Gauzere's 7 Tests, 2016-17.
Last Wales game was Nov 2014. Will be 4th time in charge of Scotland since Mar 2017.

If precedent is anything to go by here, there could be a few more on Saturday afternoon in Cardiff.
