Racing 92 recorded an historic victory over French rivals Toulon yesterday afternoon. The Paris outfit knocked Toulon out of the European Champions Cup, thus ending Bernard Laporte and Co.’s quest for a fourth consecutive crown.
Racing and France centre Alexandre Dumoulin was forced from the field in just the 11th minute of the quarter-final, after slicing his nose open when making a tackle.
The 26 year-old then posted a picture of the injury to his Instagram account, and it is quite gruesome.
This is not for the squeamish…
Thankfully, it appears that he is OK, with him having the ability to joke about it afterwards.
Nonetheless, it was a nasty looking gash.
Racing now go on to the semi-final of the tournament, where they will travel away to face Leicester Tigers. In the other semi, Saracens host Wasps.
It was an intriguing weekend of rugby, but it is fair to say that the best teams went through.
