The English outfit had a point to prove after failing to register a single score in a 38-0 drubbing in Limerick last week.
The 14 men of Munster dug deep to take a one point lead late on, but cometh the hour, cometh the man.
The Tigers won a penalty inside their own half, and while many expected Ben Youngs to elect to go for the corner, Owen Williams felt he had the range.
