Munster’s meeting with Racing 92 was postponed after news of Anthony Foley’s passing emerged.
European Club Rugby have confirmed that Munster’s postponed fixture against Racing 92 has been rescheduled for Saturday January 7 at 3:45 (Irish time).
The game was due to take place on October 16, but was called off after news of Anthony Foley passing emerged.
The rescheduled clash is sandwiched between Munster’s games against Connacht on New Year’s Eve and their return Champions Cup fixture against the Glasgow Warriors on the weekend of 13 January.
Although Munster were to play Edinburgh on the January 7, that game will now be fixed for another weekend later in 2017.
January therefore promises to be an exciting month for Munster fans, with three Champions Cup games due to be played.
Given the momentum now behind Rassie Erasmus’ side, the Reds will be confident they can navigate their way through the remaining fixtures and qualify for the knockout phase of the tournament.
