Munster are said to have approached Ultan Dillane and Bundee Aki.
Rassie Erasmus is looking to revitalise Munster’s squad by signing Connacht duo, Ultan Dillane and Bundee Aki.
According to the Irish Independent‘s Ruaidhri O’Connor, Munster have already made contact with the duo, with Dillane said to be open to the idea of returning to his native province.
Although Munster’s pursuit of of the second row may yet prove to be fruitful, yesterday our Secret Agent reported that Aki has had his head turned by a number of English and French clubs, and will not sign a new contract with Connacht.
The news will come as a blow to Ireland, who were hoping that the kiwi born centre become Irish qualified at the end of 2017.
Elsewhere, O’Connor has also reported that Munster are interested in Grenoble’s Chris Farrell, while the Northampton Saints have also registered an interest in Ulster’s Paddy Jackson. Both stories that our own Secret Agent revealed last week.
Northampton’s interest in Jackson would seem to spell trouble for JJ Hanrahan, who appears to have fallen down the pecking order at the Saints.
Indeed, this summer promises to see a deal of player movement in the Aviva Premiership, particularly at fly-half, leaving open the possibility of Hanrahan leaving the Saints.
