Munster Make Eight Changes For Trip To Edinburgh

Munster welcome back Conor Murray and Keith Earls to the starting team after the pair have returned from the Rugby World Cup. The duo make their first start of the season for the province, as head coach Anthony Foley rings the changes.

It is all change in the front row, as Dave Kilcoyne, Duncan Casey, and John Ryan start. Donncha Ryan is another who makes his first start of the season, returning from international duty. He partners Dave Foley in the second row.

Ian Keatley and Conor Murray appear together for the first time this term, while Earls joins Francis Saili in a new look midfield. Simon Zebo moves to fullback this week, with Gerhard van den Heever and Ronan O’Mahony on the wings.

With the European Champions Cup just around the corner, it is important to get things right for Munster, and for the returning internationals to gel quickly.

Kick-off is at 5.15pm in Murrayfield tomorrow evening, with the Men in Red keen to build upon their solid start to the season. Edinburgh are six points behind Munster, are buoyed by the return of the Scotland front row in Alasdair Dickinson, Ross Ford, and WP Nel all returning.

Munster: Simon Zebo; Gerhard van den Heever, Keith Earls, Francis Saili, Ronan O’Mahony; Ian Keatley, Conor Murray; Dave Kilcoyne, Duncan Casey, John Ryan; Donnacha Ryan, Dave Foley; Dave O’Callaghan, Jack O’Donoghue, CJ Stander (capt).
