Massive Double Contract News For Munster

Munster have announced that both Conor Murray and Keith Earls have signed new contracts.

Despite the Irish independent reporting that Keith Earls was on the verge of signing for Saracens yesterday, Munster have announced that both he and Conor Murray have signed new three year contracts.

The news will come as a massive boost for the province, and deter talk of a massive exodus of Irish players. Indeed IRFU Performance Director, David Nucifora, told Munster’s website,

The IRFU are committed to retaining players like Keith and we know that Munster and Ireland supporters will be delighted with today’s news.

While the news will be enthusiastically received by Munster fans, they will no doubt ask questions of Rúaidhrí O’Connor and the Irish Independent, who also reported the departure of James Cronin earlier this month.
