Leicester Tigers have received a boost with the news that Manu Tuilagi has been cleared, after being cited for his hit on Munster flanker Chris Cloete.
The giant centre appeared to hit the South African high after chasing down a ball in the second half. Munster dug deep to win the game at Welford Road on Sunday, which appears to end Leicester Tigers’ European ambitions for this season.
After a disappointing week, Matt O’Connor will be pleased that he will have Tuilagi’s services, without any suspension.

Brian O’Driscoll was vocal on the issue yesterday, and today expressed his delight at the decision.
I think the game has gone soft if we’re picking up on marginal collisions like the Manu Tuilagi tackle he’s been sited for.
