Johnny Sexton Praised To The Hilt As Leinster See Off Glasgow Warriors

Leinster made two wins from two in this season’s Champions Cup on Saturday, running out 34-18 victors against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun.

Leo Cullen’s side picked up all five points for the second match running, downing four tries and seeing off the challenge of their Scottish opponents in a fine display in which they were just as in control of the match in the first half as they were in the second.

Key to the win was the performance of captain Johnny Sexton, back in the Leinster starting fifteen having recovered from injury. The Ireland outhalf was heavily involved in play throughout, kicking two penalties and two conversions, as well as getting in on the tries himself early in the second half. 

Leinster’s first win in Glasgow for five years provoked a strong reaction on social media, both for the team performance itself and for Sexton’s display:
