It’s fair to say that the Leicester Tigers have not enjoyed the best start to the season. After adding Matt Toomua and JP Pietersen to his squad last summer, there was a great deal expected of Richard Cockerill’s side this season.
However, the Tigers have failed to find any consistency, while injury has robbed them of Toomua and Manu Tuilagi.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Midi Olympique have not only linked Telusa Veainu with a move to Stade Francais next summer, but claim the Parisian club are on verge of capturing the Tongan outside back.
According to @midi_olympique Stade Francais “are on the point of enrolling” the successor to Hugo Bonneval – Leicester’s Telusa Veainu

The news will come as a blow to Tigers fans, particularly as Veainu has become a crowd favourite since joining the club in 2015. Indeed, at the conclusion of his debut season at Welford Road, the 25 year-old won both their newcomer of the year and player of the year awards.
If Stade do in fact sign Veainu, they will have moved fast after Toulon announced the capture of Hugo Bonneval earlier this week.
