Kurtley Beale Set To Become The Premiership’s Highest Paid Player

Wasps have offered Kurtley Beale a multi million pound salary.

Reports emanating from Australia last night have suggested that Kurtley Beale will sign for Wasps in the coming days on a two year deal worth a little over £1.4 million.

Such a salary would not only make the utility back the highest paid player in the Premiership, but the third most expensive player in the world behind Dan Carter and Matt Giteau.

The news was broken by the Australian Daily Mail, who also reported that Beale was being chased by the Bulldogs in the NRL. The Guardian have also suggested that the Australian Rugby Union will not match Wasps’ massive offer, even if Beale were to enter a flexible deal allowing him move to Japan on a lucrative short term contract.

However, as Beale was accumulated 60 caps for the Australia, he will remain available for selection in Michael Cheika’s side.
