Having suffered what looked to be a season-ending injury during Ireland’s Six Nations campaign, Keith Earls will make an incredible comeback for Munster in this weekend’s Champions Cup semi-final…
Munster will travel to Bordeaux to take on Racing 92 on Sunday while Leinster will essentially have home advantage as they prepare to welcome the Scarlets to the Aviva Stadium this Saturday.
Speaking to Pundit Arena earlier this week, Munster coach Johann van Graan had stated that Earls was set to return to training. However, the South African was non-committal when it came to the Grand Slam winner’s chances of starting – only stating that it would be ‘a massive boost’ to have the 30-year-old back in the squad.
“[It would be a] massive boost, he’s part and parcel of this team, he brings in so much experience, he’s been on fire all year once he’s on the field. He’s looking forward to the week and hopefully, he can get through training. He gives a lot of guys around him confidence so it would be great to have him if he’s ready to go.”
