Ulster beat Harlequins 52-24 tonight, with six tries. Despite not touching down, Jacob Stockdale continued to impress.
Jacob Stockdale is one of the hottest prospect in not only Irish rugby, but indeed in the northern hemisphere.
The 21-year-old made his debut against the US last June, but truly announced himself on the international scene last month by scoring three tries across two tests against South Africa and Argentina.
His remarkable rise may have come as a surprise to many fans, but not to those that frequent the Kingsban Stadium. The flying winger has been producing time and time again this season for the province, and was in scintillating form this evening when Premiership outfit Harlequins came to town.
After digging deep for a hard-fought win at the Stoop last week, Ulster were optimistic of bagging a bonus point win this weekend, and did exactly that, thanks in no small part to Stockdale.
The four-time capped Ireland international was instrumental for the northern province, and put in a truly mesmering shift.
Perhaps this break in the run-up to Alan O’Connor’s try was his standout moment.
An extraordinary run from Jacob Stockdale and Alan O’Connor secures the bonus point for Ulster ?
Is there a way back for Harlequins? They trail 38-17…

He drew numerous plaudits, and deserved every single one.
How good is Jacob Stockdale. Actually scrap that, how good can he become? @UlsterRugby

Another superb performance from Jacob Stockdale. So dangerous with ball in hand. Absolutely brilliant to watch.

Stockdale has been ridiculous tonight. Most exciting Irish back 3 player to come about in a while.
