The country is currently testing the waters, via a postal vote, as to whether or not they will hold a referendum on the issue. Australia are running the survey to gauge interest in officially putting the vote to their electorate. Naturally, it is the topic of much talk in the country, and today rugby star Folau has tweeted out his thoughts on the matter.
I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage.✌❤?

Folau is one of the country’s greatest athletes who has also excelled in rugby league and Aussie rules.
This goes against the Wallabies’ official stance on the issue, having recently changed their profile picture on all social media accounts to support the motion.
Folau is coming in for criticism on social media for airing his views, as he prepares for the Wallabies’ Rugby Championship clash with Argentina this weekend.
