Irishmen Make Up The Bulk Of Will Greenwood’s 6 Nations Team Of The Week

After sealing the title with an impressive 28-8 bonus point win over Scotland on Saturday, seven Irishmen are named in Will Greenwood’s team of the week.

France are the second-most represented team in Greenwood’s selection, with four players making the cut following their gutsy 22-16 win over England in Paris. Meanwhile, two Welsh players are picked after their comfortable 38-14 win over Italy yesterday.

After a 16th straight Six Nations defeat, only one Italian player makes it along with only one English player following the Red Rose’s poor display in Paris which saw them relinquish the title.

But no Scots make the former England centre’s XV after their loss in Dublin.

With the absence of Man of the Match Rob Kearney being the only real surprise in a very well selected team.
