Ireland Set Rugby World Cup Record

Ireland have set a record ahead of their showdown with Romania.

Ever since Joe Schmidt arrived on Irish soil, the keepers of the nation’s record books have had a difficult time keeping up with kiwi coach.

Whether it was with Leinster or Ireland, Schmidt has seen his sides rip up the record books, as he ushered in an era of unprecedented success for the Irish.

Today was no different with World Rugby tweeting that Schmidt had named the oldest starting XV in World Cup history.

The combined age of Ireland’s team is 435, with Nathan White set to make his World Cup debut aged 34.
