Ian Keatley looks set to leave Munster this summer.
Despite being previously linked with moves to La Rochelle and Bayonne, according to the Irish Independent, it now looks as though Ian Keatley will leave Munster for the Worcester Warriors this summer.
The fly-half, who was recalled to the Irish squad during the early rounds of the Six Nations, had suffered a dramatic collapse in form last season but has managed to find some consistency with Munster this campaign.
Nevertheless, Keatley has failed to dislodge Tyler Bleyendaal from Munster’s first team, while the province have already announced the signing of JJ Hanrahan ahead of next season. Consequently, with his contract due to expire this summer, it left the 29-year-old fly-half searching for a new club.
If Keatley does in fact join the Warriors next season, he could link up with Donnacha O’Callaghan who is said to being weighing up whether or not to remain at Sixways for another season.
Although Worcester have been flirting with relegation for much of this season, their bonus-point win over bottom side Bristol last weekend has gone a long way to securing their safety.
