Andrew Trimble, Ulster’s premier winger showed his defensive qualities yet again this weekend and absolutely emptied opposing winger Nans Ducuing.
With the British and Irish Lions leaving for the New Zealand shores in a number of months, it has become a crucial period of time for any player with touring aspirations.
Although there appears to be a huge number of in-form wingers ahead of Andrew Trimble, an increase in the number of hits such as this will only look to highlight his plight to Warren Gatland.
To name but a few there seems to be Antony Watson, Simon Zebo, George North and Jack Nowell placed between Andrew Trimble and that plane ticket to New Zealand.
The first match on the tour to New Zealand begins on the 3rd of June and continues into July, with such a gruelling schedule ahead of them, they will require all of the top class players they can find!
