Hilarious Rugby World Cup Joke Takes Off On Reddit… At England’s Expense… Obviously

An English man walks into a bar…

As the host nation and one of the teams in form, England headed into this year’s Rugby World Cup as one of the pre-tournament favourites.

However, once the tournament kicked off, it seemed no one else was willing to play by the pre-tournament script. A heroic performance from the Welsh saw the English defeated in Twickenham setting up a must-win clash with Australia the following weekend…

They were hammered. And the fall out ever since has been as cruel as World Cup elimination itself, with seemingly every rugby fan across the world, desperate to rub salt on already gaping English wounds.

A Welsh fan already composed a hilarious advert edit which ripped Chris Robshaw apart for (in hindsight) a slightly embarrassing pre-tournament advert claiming the English ‘always back themselves at home’.

Well… it seems the jokes at England’s expense aren’t going to let up any time soon as today, a ridiculously simple, but simultaneous hilarious joke has gone viral on reddit.

Check out the post courtesy of reddit user Tautuku below: (we’ve also included that Chris Robshaw ad again because…well, why the hell not!?)

Reddit joke

They are still playing this advert – I couldn’t help myself!
