England and Saracens number eight Billy Vunipola has had his troubles with injuries in recent times, and things aren’t looking up, as it has been confirmed that he will miss up to four months following an operation this morning.
The giant ball-carrying back-row is widely regarded as one of the most devastating and explosive runners in the game, and this comes as a major setback to both Mark McCall and Eddie Jones.
Vunipola was forced ashore during Sarries’ 41-13 win over Sale, and initial fears were whether he would be able to train with England this week. However, it has proved to be far worse than that.

Jack Clifford has joined the squad for the training camp this week, as they look ahead to the new season.
This comes as a setback to European champions Sarries, who are eager to win back the Premiership title.
However, the loss of Vunipola means that things may become far more difficult in the coming months ahead.
