George Hook Rants After RTÉ Lose Six Nations Coverage

Bob Dylan once famously said that ‘Money doesn’t talk, it swears’.

Today, it was announced that TV3 have won the rights to broadcast all Six Nations games from 2018 onwards. This is another step in RTÉ losing out on rugby coverage, having ceased their broadcasting of the Heineken Cup in 2006, and conceded the rights to show the Rugby World Cup.

However, many punters were unhappy with the volume of advertisements on TV3’s coverage of the World Cup last month, and former RTÉ pundit George Hook took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

In an explosive rant, Hook did raise some valid points.

The national broadcaster holds the rights for two more years before TV3 take up the job.
