The full Pro14 fixture list has today been revealed on Pro14’s official website, with eager fans now knowing how their teams’ fixtures will pan out.

The ground-breaking new format will see two South African teams join the twelve Irish, Welsh, Scottish and Italian teams, with the fourteen teams divided into two conferences of seven.

Ulster kick-off the revamped tournament on Friday the 1st of September as they host new additions the Toyota Cheetahs, in a match which will be televised live on BBC Ulster.

Defending champions the Scarlets will host the other South African team, the Southern Kings, the following day, with Sky Sports showing the match live.

Rounds 6 and Rounds 7 of the tournament will be eagerly marked in Welsh and Irish fans’ calendars with Leinster hosting Munster in Dublin in round 6, and the Scarlets hosting the Blues in round 7.

While rounds 11 and 12 will see Edinburgh take on Glasgow both home and away, and the Italian contingent of Benetton Rugby and Zebre doing likewise.

Round 11 will also see the Cardiff Blues take on bitter rivals the Dragons and the Scarlets host the Ospreys. While for Irish fans, Connacht take on Ulster and Munster host Leinster at Thomond Park.

Round 12 sees further derbies for both Welsh and Irish teams as the Blues host the Scarlets, the Dragons welcome the Ospreys, while Leinster take on Connacht at the RDS and Ulster do battle with Munster at the Kingspan Stadium.

A flurry of derbies will make sure that the last round of the regular season on the 27th, 28th and 29th of April finishes off with a bang, with the sixth edition of Welsh rugby’s Judgement Day at the Principality sure to be a hit once more with Welsh fans.

The quarter-finals of the tournament are expected to happen on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May with the Semi-finals earmarked for the 18th, 19th and 20th respectively

While the final will be held on the 26th of May.

Speaking about the fixture list to Pro14’s official website Martin Anayi, CEO of PRO14 Rugby, was clearly excited about the season to come,

“Our expansion into South África has the future of the Championship at its heart-more sustainable clubs, attracting the best clubs, taking on diferente styles of rugby and entertaining the fans from whistle to whistle-and the release of these fixtures aims to immediately deliver on that”.

With the man at the heart of the innovative move adding,

“With all the exciting News that has surrounded the unveiling of the Guinness PRO14 we know the fans have been eager to see the fixture list, but hopefully the wait has been worthwhile as we believe these fixtures will further enhance the excitement across each of the Championship’s five territories”.

With only 3 weeks to go, fans will now truly be beginning to get excited about the new season to come.

Whatever one may think of the radical shake-up, one thing is sure – the new season is sure to be an interesting one.
