French Media Are Reporting That Paul O’Connell Is To Take Up A Coaching Position In The Top 14

France v Ireland - Group D: Rugby World Cup 2015

Paul O’Connell could be on his way to the Top 14.

Despite numerous rumours linking Paul O’Connell with the recently created position of Director of Rugby at Munster, it appears that the legendary lock could be set to begin his coaching career in the Top 14 with Grenoble.

The news was first tweeted from the account of Canal plus’ Rugby Show, Jour De Rugby, and has since been picked up by a number of media outlets.

However, initial reports published on Le Figaro, suggest that O’Connell will only be helping out at Grenoble for an initial period of two to three weeks.

Indeed, regional news source, believe that former Munster team mate, Mike Prendergast, convinced O’Connell to take up the temporary post.

Any move to Grenoble would see O’Connell not only link up with Prendergast, but also Bernard Jackman, who has been at the Top 14 club since 2011.
