Footage Of David Pocock’s Vile Neck Grab Emerges

Super Rugby Rd 6 - Brumbies v Chiefs

David Pocock has been cited for holding an opponent by the neck.

David Pocock could yet be hit with a lengthy ban, after being cited for grabbing Chiefs number eight, Michael Leitch, by the neck during the Brumbies 48-23 defeat.

The incident occurred during the 74th minute of the game, as the Chiefs looked to maul the Brumbies down field. In the footage, it is clearly evident that Pocock not only grabs Leitch around the neck, but does not let go even after the Chiefs forward taps him on the back on a number of occasions.

Indeed, from the footage, it looks as if Leitch is tapping Pocock to gain his attention rather than trying to aggressively strike the Wallaby flanker.

As a result, the citing commissioner has judged the incident to have met the threshold for a red card.
