Highlander and All Black centre Malakai Fekitoa has confirmed via social media that he will join Top 14 outfit Toulon for the upcoming season.
The 25-year-old has seen his international career stifled in recent months due to the re-emergence of Sonny Bill Williams and has since decided to move abroad.
The 24 timed capped All Black took to social media to confirm his departure via social media saying,
“I wanted to let you all know that after a lot of thought I have decided to join Toulon (RCT) at the end of the year.”
The New Zealand Rugby Union have also confirmed the news,

Although the Tongan born no.13 has decided to set sail for pastures new, he still has an integral role to play in the Highlanders’ quarter final against the Crusaders.
Fekitoa will link up with former New Zealand international Ma’a Nonu in the south of France and could be part of an all New Zealand 10-12-13 combination, with Luke McAllister also joining the Cote d’Azur team from Toulouse this season.
Fekitoa will join Toulon on a two year deal for an undisclosed sum, however one would imagine Mourad Boudjellal offered a hefty sum to entice him away from his adopted homeland.
