Quade Cooper had a shocker against Wasps this evening.
Before this evening’s game between Wasps and Toulon, many supporters were eagerly looking forward to watching Quade Cooper make his debut in the European Rugby Champions Cup.
Two weeks earlier, the Australian fly half announced himself in the Top 14 with a brilliant no look assist during Toulon’s easy victory over Montpellier.
Indeed before today’s game, Brian O’Driscoll spoke of the mercurial Cooper being ‘a proper X factor player’ and having ‘a bag of tricks to die for’.

However reality soon struck Cooper, with Wasps launching their backrow into his direction, exposing the fly half’s suspect defence.
Cooper then made numerous mistakes and found himself being outplayed by his less illustrious opposite number, Ruaridh Jackson.
As a result, fans were very unforgiving of Cooper’s performance on Twitter.
Feel a little sorry for @QuadeCooper he got battered today!
