With Eddie Jones this evening announcing a 25 man squad to face Fiji on Saturday and naming some surprise names in his squad, we put together the team the Australian is likely to pick to take on the Pacific island’s best players.
With Dave Attwood ruled out with injury, uncapped Bath lock Charlie Ewels is back in the squad and in line to make his debut off the bench.
Openside Tom Wood has been axed despite a solid performance against South Africa last weekend, with clubmate Teimana Harrison likely to be replacing himself at seven. It seems Jones views the Fiji match as an opportunity to see if the New Zealand born-and-bred starlet is ready for a return to the test arena.
In another move that will please many England supporters, Marland Yarde has been dropped in favour of Bath’s Semesa Rokoduguni, a man many felt should have started last weekend given his brilliant and consistent form in the Premiership this season.
It also seems likely that Saracens fullback Alex Goode will finally get his chance as a replacement for incumbent Mike Brown, it reports are to be believed.
