Eddie Jones may have to deal with yet another injury in his backrow.
After week in which the England suffered a series of injuries following their well publicised judo session, Eddie Jones might be about to receive yet more bad news following Saturday’s Premiership action.
Before the Leicester Tigers kicked off against the Worcester Warriors, Richard Cockerill made one late change to his team, replacing Mike Williams with Mike Fitzgerald in his starting XV.
Although little thought was given to the switch in the moments before kick-off, after the final whistle was blown Cockerill revealed Williams had sustained nerve damage during his side’s warm up.
While that may not seem too serious, Cockerill also confirmed the nerve damage occurred on the same arm Williams broke twice last year.
The news was reported by The Mail On Sunday’s Rugby Correspondent, and raises the prospect of Eddie Jones being without each of his leading opensides this Autumn.

Indeed, with James Haskell, Jack Clifford, Sam Jones already ruled out, Jones was reportedly flirting with the idea of playing Maro Itoje in the number seven shirt.
