There was white smoke out of Twickenham this afternoon, as Eddie Jones confirmed that news that Dylan Hartley is the captain of the England rugby team for the Six Nations.
The Northampton Saints hooker did not feature in the World Cup, but has been drafted in by the Australian coach and will lead the side through the Six Nations.
However, Hartley has a history of disciplinary issues, and judging by the reaction on Twitter, he is not the most popular choice.
Great news for the other sides in the six nations as England appoint moron as captain. https://t.co/OjIdNPZ0PC

the other interesting thing about D Hartley becoming Capt is the fact he isn’t the best hooker available for @EnglandRugby #jaimieGeorge

However, it was not all negative, as Hartley’s flair may be just what the Red Rose were lacking the World Cup.
Undoubtedly a checkered past but Dylan Hartley certainly has the bite thatEngland rugby may very well need — Michael O’Donnell (@MOD_sportsmgmt) January 25, 2016
He will join Sergio Parisse, Sam Warburton, Greig Laidlaw, Rory Best and Guilheim Guirado at the launch of the Six Nations on Wednesday.
