England have named a strong side to face Australia,

Although The Telegraph reported that Eddie Jones had contemplated making a number of changes to England’s starting XV, the Australian born coach has ultimately decided to keep the number of changes to a minimum ahead of the third and final test with the Wallabies.

As was widely reported last night, Eddie Jones has replaced the injured James Haskell with New Zealand born, Teimana Harrison, in the back row, with Jack Clifford unlucky to miss out on selection.

Described as a “street fighter” by Jones, Harrison will make his debut at in the number seven shirt, alongside James Haskell and Billy Vunipola in the back row. Mako Vunipola, Dylan Hartley and Dan Cole continue in the front row, with George Kruis and Maro Itoje retaining their places in the second row.

Although Jack Nowell was not expected to start after suffering a concussion, the Exeter Chiefs player has been selected on the wing ahead of Marland Yarde. George Ford and Owen Farrell continue at 10 and 12 respectively, with Jonathan Joseph, Anthony Watson, Mike Brown completing the back row.

Australia meanwhile have returned Matt Toomua and Will Skelton to their side, in a bid to avoid a series whitewash in Sydney this weekend. The inclusion of Toomua in particular is sure to add more balance to their backline, but is only returning from a knee injury.
