Munster have received a much needed boost.
In one of the most troubling weeks in the recent history of Munster Rugby, the province have finally received some good news.
Early this morning the Irish Independent reported that contract negotiations have begun with star scrum half, Conor Murray.
The 26 year old told Ruaidhri O’Connor,
Negotiations have started and it’s something you don’t want to be thinking about for these big weeks, so it’s been put on the back-burner.
I don’t see too many problems. I love playing here in Ireland and I want to continue doing that so…
This is a great club, a great set-up, it’s my home. It’s almost a no-brainer, I’d love to continue playing here.
News of Murray’s intentions comes after both CJ Stander and Tommy O’Donnell recently signed contract extensions.
However, with Keith Earls, James Cronin and Simon Zebo yet to sign new deals with the province, supporters will remain fearful that Munster may lose one of their top players.
