Harlequins have confirmed that Conor O’Shea will join Italy at the end of the season.
For for the past twelve months, it has has been suggested that Conor O’Shea would replace Jacque Brunel as Italian coach at the end of the current season.
Nevertheless, after the President of the Italian Rugby Federation last week denied that O’Shea was been lined up to take over at the Stadio Olimpico in La Republica, various commentators began to ask who the surprise candidate Alfredo Gavazzi was referring to.
However Harlequins put an end to any such speculation, after the Premiership club this morning announced that O’Shea would in fact be taking up the position as Italian head coach at the end of the season.
