Mourad Boudjellal yesterday announced that Toulon have applied to join the Premiership.
Rugby took a step in a bizarre direction yesterday, when Mourad Boudjellal announced that Toulon had applied to join the Premiership.
Although it would be nothing short of astonishing if such a scenario came to pass, The Telegraph yesterday reported that Premiership Rugby will consider Boudjellal’s request of including Toulon in an expanded 14 team league format.
Nevertheless, most fans appear to oppose any such move, particularly after having to accept Premier Rugby’s whitewashed investigation into breaches of the salary cap.
As a result, it came as no surprise that yesterday’s development was met with anger by some supporters, who reason that Boudjellal is simply on an ego trip.
Indeed, Brian Moore was not at all subtle when told Boudjellal on twitter, ‘Quite simple really – ‘f**k you’.
While Moore did little to suppress his anger, Drew Mitchell response to the development is rather comical.
Quite simple really – ‘”Va te faire foutre.’ https://t.co/Pgg6DwuI7J
