Both Connacht and Leinster have announced their respective squads for Round 2 of the Guinness PRO14 tomorrow.
The big news for Connacht is that both Sean O’Brien and Gavin Thornbury will return from injury and will start for Andy Friend’s side tomorrow evening.
Set to face Zebre for a 17:15 kick-off, Friend made it clear (via the club’s official website) that they will come into the game well aware of the threat that the opposition will present.
“We have picked a strong side again this week and I am satisfied that we are seeing some real competition in the squad.
“With the Eagles side playing Munster in the new Celtic Cup all of our available players will get game time this weekend.
“We are well aware of the challenge that Zebre pose. From what I have seen of them they are a big physical side who are well able to throw the ball around.
“We are expecting another big crowd in the Sportsground and a similar atmosphere to what we witnessed last weekend.”

As for Leinster, Leo Cullen similarly saw a host of returning players to pick from and with a trip over to Wales on the cards – they will be hoping it doesn’t play out in a similar fashion to the country’s football team yesterday.
Facing Scarlets in Parc y Scarlets for a 19:35 kick-off, the pressure will be on Cullen’s men to give it their all, even now in the competition’s early stages.
