David Pocock has reportedly received a substantial offer from a Top 14 club.
At the beginning of November, Fox Sports reported that Bordeaux Bégles, Toulouse and Racing 92 were interested in signing Wallaby flanker, David Pocock.
The news was not unexpected, Pocock was after all one the the World Cup’s stand out players and his contract was set to expire at the end of the 2016 southern hemisphere season.
While it was expected that super clubs such as Toulouse and Racing would be interested in the Pocock, few would have believed that such a superstar would move to Bordeaux Bégles.
However this could very well be the case, with the play off chasing club reportedly offering the Aussie star a ‘substantial’ contract. The news was tweeted by French rugby writer Gavin Mortimer earlier this morning.
Off to Bordeaux and @midi_olympique says they are still chasing David Pocock. They’ve offered the Aussie flanker an “offre conséquente”

It would seem that we will have to get used to mid table Top 14 sides attracting some of the game’s best talent, after it was reported that 9th place La Rochelle are attempting to attract Victor Vito, while relegation threatened Pau have signed the likes of Conrad Smith and Colin Slade.
