Australian Media Reporting David Pocock Will Leave The Brumbies At The End Of The Season

David Pocock has been linked with a massive move away from the Brumbies.

After his epic performances during the World Cup, David Pocock became one of the most sought after player in the game.

Within weeks of the tournament coming to an end, Fox Sports reported that Bordeaux Begles had offered Pocock a lucrative contract. Soon afterwards, the usual suspects were said to have joined the race to sign the flanker, and an announcement on his future was imminent.

Despite the persistent rumours linking Pocock with a move to France, in early February, The Telegraph claimed Wasps were interested in making the 28 year old the highest paid player in the world.

However, nothing ever transpired, and in early March David Pocock put an end to all speculation by signing a new deal with the Australian Rugby Union.

As part of his new contract, Pocock was granted permission to take a one year sabbatical, to further his education in 2017.

However, instead of studying, it would now seem the flanker will instead join the Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan.

According to the Canberra Times, Pocock will join the Japanese side after Australia’s European tour later this year, before returning to the Brumbies twelve months later.
