Argentina winger Gonzalez Amorosino is set to join Munster on a short term loan deal, according to reports. The winger/fullback is set for a three motnh spell with the province, before returning to South America to join the Argentinian Super Rugby side.
The 29 year-old is no stranger to the European game, having played with Leicester, Montpellier, Oyonnax and Cardiff Blues in recent years. He played four out of Argentina’s six games so far in this World Cup, including the majority of their semi-final loss to Australia.
He has scored six tries in his 47 caps for the Pumas since making his debut in 2009. At 6 ft 1 inch, Amorosino is a winger of genuine quality, and will bolster Munster’s challenge on all fronts throughout the winter months, helping cover what is becoming an injury crisis for the southern province.
Here is a taste of what Munster fans can expect from the winger.
