Andrew Conway produced a stunning try to send Munster to the Champions Cup semi-final.
Munster looked dead and buried today in Thomond Park, as Toulon led 19-13 heading down the home straight. As the French giants regained possession after Munster spent a period in the 22 without scoring, it looked like the fat lady was clearing her throat.
Francois Trinh Duc fell back in the pocket, and put boot to ball to clear the lines. Andrew Conway didn’t give up, fielding the ball before it could go out for touch, before embarking on a direct run through the defence and crossing the try-line. A converted try later and the men in red were in the driving seat with just minutes remaining.
After Toulon chased a score in injury time, they were penalised by Nigel Owens, and a huge roar went up around the ground.
