Munster are in the middle of preparation for this weekend’s Pro14 clash with South African side Cheetahs, but John Ryan was showing off skills of a very different kind on Monday.
The 29-year-old prop wasn’t involved in last Friday’s convincing 34-3 victory over Italian side Benetton Treviso at Musgrave Park, but showed Rassie Erasmus just how ready he is for this Saturday with a moment of fine athleticism.
Using the (giant) round ball instead of the oval, Ryan finished a “foot-volleyball” exercise by pulling off an overhead kick over the partition, leading to the Munster twitter account to refer to him as “Ryanaldo” from there on out.
