Simon Zebo and Paddy Jackson have both featured in French newspaper Midi Olympique’s list of best and worst signings made by Top 14 clubs this season.
Zebo, who has proved to be an excellent acquisition for Racing 92 based on his try-scoring exploits for the Parisian club, comes in at number one in the ‘Top’ list beating the likes of Gael Fickou, Jerome Kaino and Racing teammate, Finn Russell.
It's time for the #Midol Top and Flop recruitments so far this season.
Simon Zebo leads the way as the best signing of the lot, just ahead of Gaël Fickou and Charlie Ngatai.

Unfortunately for Paddy Jackson, the former Ulster and Ireland out-half was named at number three on the ‘flops’ list as a campaign which has seen his side Perpignan fail to record a single victory thus far likely proving the key factor rather than any poor individual performances.
Other players on the ‘flops’ list include former All Black Julian Savea who comes in at number one while Johan Goosen, Semi Radradra and former Connacht player, Pita Ahki also make up the list.
A few more big names among the flops, with Julian Savea so far considered the worst signing by #Midol. He did look better against Montpellier, so things looking up?

With regards to Zebo and Jackson, their forays into French rugby couldn’t be more different.
Racing 92 are currently top of their pool in the Heineken Champions Cup and fifth in the Top 14 table while Perpignan are without a win in both European and domestic competition.
