Leinster have the bragging rights over their southern neighbours after securing a 23-17 victory over Munster in Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 clash at the Aviva Stadium.
The victory was a deserved one for Leinster, Leo Cullen’s side made much fewer mistakes than their counterparts and looked a lot more comfortable with ball in hand. Their discipline was a lot better too and they made Munster pay for this thanks to the accuracy of Jonathan Sexton’s boot.
Ultimately, as much as this game is billed as a huge fixture, it’s an opportunity to blow off some cobwebs before the serious business of European rugby takes place over the next two weeks. A lot of players were returning from layoffs in the hope of building form and fitness for the back-to-back European games. One of those players was Robbie Henshaw, who got 80 minutes under his belt. He also got the opportunity to wear the Sky Sports player mic which is a great way to offer an insight to supporters to the kind of talk which takes place on the pitch.
One of the highlights was Henshaw’s calling out of the forward pass from Chris Farrell to Keith Earls, a pass which everyone in the stadium knew was forward, but it took Ben Whitehouse to see the replay on the large screen when Tyler Bleyendaal was lining up the conversion to eventually call it back.

Another particular highlight is at the end of the above clip when Henshaw ships a huge hit from Farrell.
