The latest forecast for Twickenham on Saturday afternoon is blue skies, sunny conditions and a scorching 28°C. It’s fitting that two of the most exciting teams in the Premiership will be contesting the competition’s final in conditions that will benefit running rugby.
It also helps that the game is incredibly difficult to call. The Chiefs have been playing some scintillating rugby all season – breaking records for the number of consecutive bonus point victories in the process. While Wasps, who finished top of the table have some incredible talent such as Jimmy Gopperth, Christian Wade and Elliot Daly, who on their day, can run amok against the most stingiest of defences.
It will surely be an entertaining game and both sides have just announced their lineups for Saturday’s 2.30PM kickoff.

A big blow for Wasps is that Beale will miss the final after suffering a hamstring injury in their semi-final victory over Leicester Tigers. Josh Bassett comes into the starting XV on the wing with Willie Le Roux switching to fullback. Dan Robson comes in for Joe Simpson at scrumhalf. Tommy Taylor comes in for Ashley Johnson.
With regards to the Chiefs, Rob Baxter has kept the majority of the same side who secured that amazing win over Saracens at Sandy Park. Exeter Player of the Year, Olly Woodburn, returns from a hamstring injury to take the place of James Short on the wing.
