Wales The Big Movers After Latest World Rugby Rankings Update

Wales have arrived in Argentina ahead of their two-Test series against Los Pumas in San Juan and Santa Fe over the next two weekends.

Warren Gatland’s side go into those fixtures with a win under their belt after they overcame an inexperienced Springboks side 22-20 at the RFK Stadium in Washington D.C on Saturday.

However, the clashes against Argentina will be much tougher, especially when you consider the excellent form shown by the Jaguares in Super Rugby this season.

The various summer tours which take place in June will have an impact on the current state of the world rankings and there has already been movement due to Wales’ win at the weekend.

Gatland’s side climb from seventh to fifth with a gain of 1.04 ranking points while Scotland and South Africa both drop one position each to sixth and seventh, respectively.

The top four are as they were but expect this to change over the coming weeks as the likes of Ireland and England getting their summer tours underway.
