The Top Performers As Ireland Escape Rome With Bonus Point

It wasn’t a perfect performance by any stretch of the imagination but Ireland did what was required to come out on top against Italy with a bonus point which keeps their slim hopes of retaining their Guinness Six Nations crown alive for another two weeks.

The Six Nations now takes a break with action not returning for a fortnight and in that time, Ireland will hope to get a lot of work done on the training ground before they welcome a France side buoyed by their victory over Scotland.

Italy, meanwhile, will take a lot from their loss to Ireland as they led at halftime and had Joe Schmidt’s side under pressure for long periods.

In terms of individual performances, we take a look at who produced the highest numbers in both blue and green shirts.
