21-year-old Jack Stafford could make his European debut for Munster this weekend when his side travels to Sandy Park to take on Exeter in the Heineken Champions Cup on Saturday.
Stafford, who made his senior debut for Munster last season in the November win over Zebre, is highly rated in the Munster setup and his form for the ‘A’ side in the Celtic Cup so far this season has generated excitement in the province.
The Wexford man, who attended Glenstal Abbey as a student, could be sprung from the bench against Rob Baxter’s side on Saturday due to the concern over the fitness of kiwi nine, Alby Mathewson.
Mathewson picked up a knee injury in the 33-20 defeat to Leinster at the weekend and Johann van Graan told the gathered media today at the University of Limerick today that he is a worry.
