Soso Matiashvili Scores Remarkable Solo Try In Fantastic Victory For Georgia

Georgia secured an emphatic 54-22 victory over Canada this afternoon and ran in six tries in the process as they proved to be a class above their opponents from across the pond.

The game took place in the Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi and it provided good preparation next week’s game against Wales at the Principality Stadium.

One of their standout players was fullback Soso Matiashvili who scored a brace of tries in their side’s victory. However, it was his second try which was a piece of individual brilliance from the 24-year-old.

Matiashvili spotted some space in the Canadian backfield and kicked the ball deep from the halfway line. He used his blistering pace to catch up with the ball and spectacularly dove on it just before it went dead – incredible.
