Sam Arnold Took Over Munster’s Twitter Account Last Night And It Was Hilarious

Munster A secured passage to the quarter-finals of the British and Irish Cup as they produced a dominant 27-0 win over an Ospreys Premiership Select at Cork’s Irish Independent Park last night.

Ronan O’Mahony, Dave O’Callaghan, and Dan Goggin all made a return from injury layoffs which will be a huge boost to Johann van Graan who will see ten of his players head to Carton House next week to begin Ireland camp for the Six Nations.

Two tries from Mike Sherry in the first-half and one from Gavin Coombes in the second 40 secured the victory for the men in red, in addition to a 100% record from the tee from Bill Johnston.

If you were trying to keep up to date with the match on Twitter last night you may have noticed that the match updates from Munster’s official Twitter account had a slightly different tone from what you would usually expect.

That’s because Sam Arnold, who has been out of action due the suspension he picked up against Ulster on New Year’s Day, was handed social media duties for the match last night and it gave a great insight into some of the slagging that goes on in the Munster camp – we’ve selected some of the best Tweets for you below.

Munster’s Niall Scannell, who was named on the bench for Munster’s Champions Cup clash against Castres on Sunday, expressed his admiration for Arnold’s efforts but still got a slight dig from his colleague.

We really hope these continue in the future!
