There Are Some Really Interesting Matchups In The Aviva Premiership This Weekend

It’s Round 15 of the Aviva Premiership this weekend and it’s certainly tight at the top with just eight points separating second and fifth – qualification for playoffs and Champions Cup spots look like it will go down to the wire so various teams will be desperate to pull off a victory this weekend.

Here we take a look at who we think can pull off a much-needed victory this weekend, with

Three-Fold Accumulator:

We’re going for an accumulator this week and we think it’s pretty safe as we predict wins for Saracens, Leicester Tigers and the Northampton Saints.

Saracens welcome back the likes of George Kruis and Nick Isiekwe to the engine room and with that international quality we believe the European Champions will be able to get one over on Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium to close the gap on the Exeter Chiefs at the top of the table. The Sharks only scraped past London Irish last weekend which tells us they won’t have enough for Mark McCall’s men.

Leicester Tigers host Harlequins at Welford Road and Matt O’Connor’s side will again have Manu Tuilagi starting in midfield. The Tigers fell to Gloucester at Kingsholm last time out but that is by no means a complete failure considering Gloucester’s excellent home form. The Tigers will be able to call on Telusa Veainu again in what is his second game back from a broken jaw he suffered against Munster in December while they will be able to call on the experience of Tom Youngs in the front-row. Quins fell to a heavy defeat last time out at home to Wasps and that was with a man advantage after Kyle Eastmond received a straight red card for a high hit on Marcus Smith.

Finally, we are backing the Northampton Saints to get one over on London Irish at Franklin’s Gardens, they were poor last time out away to Bath but we think they should be able to account for the league’s bottom club at home. George North will start on the wing, Nic Groom return at scrum-half and Luther Burrell takes up the 12 shirt. Piers Francis starts at out-half as Harry Mallinder remains in England camp.

Backing the Saints, the Tigers and Saracens will provide a £21.83 return on a £10 bet – looks good to us.
