The November internationals are now over for Ireland and focus now switches to the Irish provinces as they enter the busy festive period.
The Irish provinces returned to Guinness PRO14 action at the weekend which saw wins for Leinster, Munster and Connacht while Ulster lost away to Scarlets.
Another round of PRO14 action awaits this weekend before back-to-back European Cup fixtures take centre stage with busy interprovincial fixtures just around the corner.
The four Irish sides will take stock of their Ireland contingent ahead of these crucial games with both Munster and Leinster providing injury updates.
For the reigning Champions Cup and PRO14 champions, Jordan Larmour will undergo a minor procedure on his knee this week but is expected to train next week which puts him in contention for Leinster’s trip to The Rec to take on Bath in the first of their back-to-back fixtures against the English side.
Jack Conan, meanwhile, is a doubt after suffering AC joint damage to his shoulder in the win over the USA on Saturday – he will be further assessed this week, according to a report in The Irish Independent.
From Munster’s point of view, the southern province have stated that Darren Sweetnam will be “further assessed” on the back injury which saw him removed early from the Aviva Stadium pitch at the weekend.
Connacht have not provided an injury update but their only representatives on Saturday were Finlay Bealham and Quinn Roux who both seemed to come through the game unscathed. As previously reported, Kieran Marmion will be unavailable until February due to an ankle issue while Bundee Aki is expected back for the interpros as he is getting married in New Zealand.
Ulster’s main worry will be that of the impressive Will Addison who was removed from play on Saturday due to a HIA.
