At halftime in Scotstoun, Saracens lead the Glasgow Warriors 3-13 in Pool 3 of the Heineken Champions Cup.
Michael Rhode’s first-half try and eight points from the boot of Owen Farrell has proved the difference so far.
The Glasgow Warriors thought they got a crucial try on the stroke of halftime when a ball stolen at the ruck was sent wide to DTH van der Merwe who weaved his way through numerous Saracens defenders before touching down.
The winger celebrated among his teammates but the whistle had already blown for a penalty for the initial steal at the breakdown.
This didn’t stop Maro Itoje from cheekily celebrating among the Glasgow players…
Maro Itoje troll level = 💯
• Glasgow steal the ball
• Ref blows for penalty
• Glasgow players don't hear whistle, score try, celebrate wildly…
• Maro Itoje joins in! pic.twitter.com/ULOkgYcLga
